Nissan Navara king cab 05 was great while it worked,,,, but now it doesn't.

I was on the motorway doing about 65 mph and then with no warning the noise from hell came from the engine. Pulled onto hard shoulder and watched the remaining oil drain from the bottom of the engine.

I bought my Nissan Navara D22 King Cab new from main dealer in March 2005 and to date, (Dec 2008) I have done less than 26,500 miles.
I ONLY transport dogs in the back (snugtop) and that is the reason for buying it in the first place as I do dog rescue.
I took it for its service last week and since ...

Traveling along at 70 mph on motorway last night and bang/clatter/screech! The engine gives up. Its a 2004 King Cab D22.
AA believes the oil pump had packed up, I am about to contact the dealer (and yes I have had it main dealer serviced for last 2 years). Sounds like its all in the "top end".
    Does ...

I ran this vehicle in from new (like you do in the old days) Never missed a service and never worked it hard or over revved it. The engine dropped a conrod three weeks ago. I called Nissan customer services from the road side and was advised that there were problems but only with a certain batch of ...

Only had d22 for 8 weeks, 2004, 55000 miles tappet noise on thursday evening on tickover, drove very carefully 1 mile to garage not exceeding 1500rpm, friday morning whilst warming up to drop the oil, con-rod number 3 smashed its way through the block, so I had no notice of this catasrophic failure, ...

Does anyone know the terms and conditions of this jeep that has been extended? Was it ment to be serviced every 4,500k?
Are all these wonderful D22 engines given up? Has anyone in Northern Ireland had the same issues? or in the south of Ireland?
