Item: LG GCE 8525B
Sometimes the LG GCE 8525B CD writer gets to about 95% complete, then fails to finalise the disc. I will steer clear of this brand in the future. Failure rate is approximately 80%.

Lite-On 52x32x52: Replaced an older Liteon drive and brand is still great. Very very quick and quiet with it. No other drive can compete. Wish I had been able to find one in black.

The NEC NR-7700A works great with Nero V5 and V6, hates EsayCD Creator. Buts lots of CD's with this, only crashed when comp crashed.

Customer Service responded promptly, but had to spend 20% of the price to send the Freecom FX 1 drive back. Replacement drive broke down again in couple of months. Same fault.

I got my BTC 52x32x52x CD Writer this about a year ago and it has never failed me once. Actually I have 2 of them. One for each computer of mine.
I got mine at Fry's electronics on the thanksgivings
