    Item: Plextor 52
Overall Plextor 52 is a good bargain for professional and private users. I can now archive huge files without fear of losing data and also freeing up my hard disk.

    Item: LG GCE 8525B
Sometimes the LG GCE 8525B CD writer gets to about 95% complete, then fails to finalise the disc. I will steer clear of this brand in the future. Failure rate is approximately 80%. I have tried

    Item: Lite-On 52x32x52
Lite-On 52x32x52: Replaced an older Liteon drive and brand is still great. Very very quick and quiet with it. No other drive can compete. Wish I had been able to find one in black.

Customer Service responded promptly, but had to spend 20% of the price to send the Freecom FX 1 drive back. Replacement drive broke down again in couple of months. Same fault.
