  Location of The Westin Resort and Spa is great. Right next to gondola up Whistler. Ski rentals in lower ground level and they will hold your skiis overnight. Just walk out grab skis and go to lift.

  I just wanted to write about Banff. The location is great, inside the national park with 3 ski areas included in the lift pass. Lots of good restaurants and bars, particularly Melissa's Missteak for breakfast.
