To say this Hitachi VTFX440E video is rubbish is to flatter it. It seems to have no redeeming features. The VCR display shows the time if you switch on the TV to set it, but I recommend you buy a clock. Why

Item: Panasonic NV HV61EBS
Overall, the Panasonic NV HV61EBS is an excellent Video Recorder. I couldn't get to grips with the automatic tuning though, so I switched to manual tuning, at which point it seemed to tune automatically!

Do not touch with a barge pole, and if you should be mad enough, do not buy from PRC Direct. I have hardly used mine, it has been for repair 3 times under warranty and it still has the same fault. Shame on

What you would expect fom Sony. The Sony SLV-SE730 Nicam Video is a nice solid well built vcr with a quality feel. Has all the usual features, though competition boast 6 heads for supposedly better quality
