    There is one place for this pc - in the bin.

    Why did they sell it with Vista installed? The machine is gutless. Upgrading the ram is full of pitfalls and I'm not going to attempt it.

    I contacted Consumer Direct about these guys. In the end I decided it was going to be easier and cheaper to replace defective hardware (as shipped) at my own cost. Make your own decision, but be warned.

    It has a Pentium 4 CPU 2.8GHz which is kind of cool. The hdd is 80GB Hitachi that has SATA 1.5GB cable which isn't too bad at all for it's age.

    for dell dimension 5150 the amber light sometimes comes up when all drivers mainly the chipset and important drivers from dell website for this desktop are NOT installed. try installing OS and then going online
