Once you get use to the weight due to the number of ball bearings it is a wonderful reel, which can be used with a 8lb line for float fishing and upto 12-15 lb when using heavier rigs

It is a very good reel i have had a 25lb fish out on the reel it is a very trusty reel. It has a nice deep spool which holds lots of line and it has a very nice linelay. I really like the Fox Stratos FS 10000

I think that the Mitchell Avocet Big Surf 6500 is a great reel, I brought one ages ago and I have a few others reel but this is still up there as a decent one. You can also pick these up for a pretty decent
