  HAVE HAD THIS UNIT FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW, IT HAS HAD A HARD AND BUSY LIFE WRITING DVD'S FROM RECORDED PROGRAMMES AND CONVERTING MOST OF MY VHS COLLECTION TO DVD, THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THE DISPLAY HAS DIMMED

  wish i had never have wasted my money on it, its so slow and the tv guide is rubish as well.
  after afew month it broke on me and now will not play any disc's i would get it fixed but i dont think its worth

  Philips make good TV's but if you buy a DVD Recorder from them expect a host of software problems. My DVDR remote badly effects my Philips 47" TV and try's to turn it over. They are 100% incompatable and right

  As far as I can tell this recorder is not suitable for HD TV. I bought mine from UKDVDR and can't get a reply from them when I asked this question. It will not record from a free view box either so be warned. W
