I do not recommed taking a stopover in Newark if you're coming from the North. In my experience, there is a good chance your flight will be delayed and you will miss your connection.

I think Air Europa is a very good airline, very helpful and attentive.

We flew Delta twice to Rome, Italy and back. It was the best experience flight on time, staff very nice. However, food could be better in coach. Delta is a great airline.
