    I would urge people not to apply for any HSBC mortgage product. Just before exchange of contracts, they wrote to my solicitors to say that the mortgage had been withdrawn. No notice was given to the solicitors

    Great if you are good at managing your finances, can save a great deal in interest payments.
    Probably not recommended for those who struggle to manage their current account anyway, with a normal mortgage.

    If your looking for a mortgage provider DO NOT GO WITH NORTHERN ROCK!! They are an absolute joke. We took out a 100% mortgage with them just over 2 years ago. We now want to upsize and move into a bigger house.
