  I don;t recommend anyone register or activate this Autodesk 3ds Max 8.0 software until after you run it for the first time. It is not until that point that you will be told if it is an academic version or not.

  Good and powerfull. Great interaction between materials, lighting and rendering. Renders very fast. Physics is a very powerful tool. Overall its very good and gives you very realistice output.
