    At last I have promise of a sum of money being paid into my account for my mortgage. This has been backdated to Feb when I made my first contact with halifax due to redundancy, altho not happy they dont pay

    I agree, DO NOT fall for the wonderful sales pitch..... once you need to make a claim, as I did due to redundancy February 2009, helpfullness goes out of the window!!! Very unhelpful, make numerous calls,
