  Well, Alliance and Leicester on paper offer one of the best current accounts going. Huge interest when you're in credit, an interest-free (albeit temporary) overdraft... but pick up the phone for Telephone Bank

  After more than 20 years with Abbey I have finally had enough! They omitted to send my replacement card when the old one expired, causing me great inconvenience when I was booked to travel to USA the next day.
