I also think you have a motherboard problem, but to be sure, try it with a different power supply of the same or higher rating. A bad power supply can be at the root of many failed powerups.

Replace the motherboard battery ( round, ... I put the ASUS's cpu in the optronix and powered up, result: same as before. More intrestingly, i put the optronix cpu into the ASUS and it would not boot up!
