the Motorola PEBL is a great looking phone and it comes with good features such as video capture and mp3 ringtones. The trouble is, it doesn't have the memory for these. There were 2 pre-loaded videos which you can't delete and there is simply no room for anything else!
Otherwise, it looks great and feels great and the battery lasts for ages. Have had this phone for 18 months and just replaced it with Samsung G600 with expandable memory - what a difference! (read more)

Personally, I've loved mine for the most part. In my house I barely get 1 bar of service with my Samsung phone, so I switch my SIM card into the Motorola PEBL, and it keeps almost a full signal. I barely ever have to charge my phone, and have downloaded quite a few games and ringtones. The camera and video quality is poor, and it's a little unnerving that the phone flips open if you drop it. Also, the fingerprints get really annoying after a while. (read more)

Good on you mate. I totally agree about the fingerprints bit. The Motorola PEBL mobile phone does mark easily.

The Motorola PEBL is a nice smooth, easy to handle phone and fashion accessory but it has poor reception. I would have probably been ok on o2, as this is the network I had before T-Mobile offered me a good deal. I had Nokia phones in the past and must say they are easier to use, will be going back to Nokia and o2 once contract expires. (read more)

The Motorola PEBL is a swish looking and feature packed mobile phone, and it is very comfortable to hold and use, but that's it.

If ever you need it to actually make a call or receive a call, then don't bother! The reception strength is extremely poor, and my battered 10 year old Nokia 5110 wipes the floor with it. Using the same Sim card, my Nokia had full signal strength - 5 bars, but the PEBL had one bar, and on a few occasions it had no signal at all.

Oh dear Moto, it's not really... (read more)

I bought the Motorola PEBL mobile phone around 4 weeks ago and it's great! Not the best, but it's great. I really don't care about the memory, but it's pretty good anyway. I have been able to fit at least 4 full MP3 formatted tracks on it, and as I won't really be using the phone for music, I couldn't care less, but keeping in mind that I have 4 full MP3 tracks, I still have enough memory for 11 videos and for around 100 pictures. Now that's pretty good!!

The screen is the clearest I have... (read more)

Basically, to avoid sounding like a complete moaner. If you want a phone that looks nice and that you can put that favourite tune on from your PC and use it to make and receive calls, then the Motorola PEBL is for you! I'm constantly texting, and you can't beat a Nokia!! I am returning my Pebl as the hinge is loose, and this is the second handset in 3 weeks! I will be returning to the ol'faithful Nokia! Motorola PEBL

The next iPod?

Well, maybe not, but while other brands are concentrating on super thin mobile phones Motorola decided to offer something completely different with the Motorola PEBL and it looks like they have achieved something fairly special.

With slick advertising presenting this phone as a smooth pleasant thing to hold, a treasure akin to the joy of finding a shiny pebble on the beach, it appears like Motorola may have, in fact, struck gold.[B] It is clearly an attempt by the company to create a must have fashion accessory akin to Apple's iPod.

Early feedback on this hi tech oval shaped mobile phone has been extremely positive.

The PEBL has a black rubber casing and a self-opening mechanism which opens the cover with a flick of a switch. Inside you find a smart sharp screen and up-to-date technology.
