Verdict of J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Review Centre Reviews

The vast majority of reviewers to this site, have been overwhelmingly happy to endorse JK Rowlings novel [CITE]Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince.

More than 90 per cent of reviewers find the latest adventure a fitting addition to the cycle.

The Half Blood Prince has more disturbing and powerful themes than previous novels and appears to appeal to more older readers than ever before. It is also full of surprises and different plot developments compared to its predecessors with more complex ideas and relationships.

A tiny minority of reviewers have found this book less exciting and satisfying than previous Harry Potter stories and a few reviewers have mentioned it is a little slow in the early chapters compared to earlier books. But its fair to say if you are a Harry Potter fan you are unlikely to be displeased if you obtain this book.

Summary (Dont Worry Not Full Plot)

What is all the fuss about? Well, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was the sixth novel in JK Rowling's Harry Potter series. In the book its Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts school and the novel features an older, wiser Harry. It also heavily features Lord Voldemort's past as well as some conflicting romantic relationships amongst the crew.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is also slighter darker in tone than former Harry Potter books. Voldemort and his gang create distress in the UK with a series of devilish activities. Rufus Scrimgeour becomes Minister of Magic and Snape Defense Against Dark Arts master in this episode.

The Half Blood Prince title stems from a name which Harry discovers in an old copy of an Advanced Potions book and the name proves to be very dangerous. Who is the Half-Blood Prince? Why is he called the Half-Blood Prince? Well, you have to read the book to find out.

In this edition of the Harry Potter series it is also significant that Harry is seen to mature compared to the younger man who started on his adventures years ago. We see Harry as a more confident hero in Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince and much stronger in character than ever before.
