Review Centre reviewers find the Fuji Finepix 4700 a good basic compact digital camera with decent battery life which provides excellent images for average daytime use and is easy to use.
Launched in 2000 the Fuji 4700 featured the new Super CCD image sensor technology from Fuji. The new optical zoom was supported by a 3.7x digital zoom working in .2x steps similar to optical zooms.
In addition the new zoom benefited from improvements in its electronics boosting the images with no buffer in under two seconds. This was also a power saving device.
