- Review Centre reviewers find the Fuji Finepix 4700 a good basic compact digital camera with decent battery life which provides excellent images for average daytime use and is easy to use.
- Launched in 2000 the Fuji 4700 featured the new Super CCD image sensor technology from Fuji. The new optical zoom was supported by a 3.7x digital zoom working in .2x steps similar to optical zooms.
- In addition the new zoom benefited from improvements in its electronics boosting the images with no buffer in under two seconds. This was also a power saving device.
