Verdict of Nokia N79
The Nokia N-Series has always been at the forefront of trying to integrate all the best features that mobile phones have into one, user friendly unit and the Nokia N79 is no different. It packs all the features that you would expect from a current Nokia such as a 5MP Carl Zeiss camera, video recording, full mp3 player, HSDPA, N-Gage gaming and a whole host of other features.
What really tickled the interest of other mobile phone reviews on the internet though, were the theme changes depending on the battery cover plate. What this means is that when you change the back of the phone, the colour on screen automatically changes and although generally seen as a bit of a gimmick, Trusted Reviews loved it and CNet hailed it the return of customisable handsets. It wasn't all good news though as Mobile Choice said that despite all of the functionality the Nokia N79 has to offer, the user experience is a little lacking.
