The Air Arms Tx200 HC is another extremely popular air rifle according to Review Centres reviewers. The Hunter Carbine is a shorter version of the TX200. See also the Air Arms TX200 MkIIII.
This rifle has a bull barrel with a threaded insert which allows the fitting of an internal or external moderator. For a short easy to carry and fire high performance air rifle this one appears to be difficult to beat. The TX200s admirers are so much in awe of it that many fans feel that it is even better than the much vaunted Weihrauch HW77.
The Mk3 is the latest version of the TX200 and TX200HC series. Amongst other changes the Mk3 has a reduced cocking effort and built in sound moderatation control.
Our reviewers see Air Arms TX 200 HC as a number one air rifle for field/target usage. There is near universal agreement that this is a quality rifle with excellent consistency and accuracy and a high standard of workmanship. While some reviewers have found it on the heavy side others point to this providing stability. Everyone seems to agree on its huge accuracy.
