Verdict of Nokia N95
Overview
Launched in 2006 this award winning phone is from one of the most reliable manufacturers. An update of Nokia's popular N series it's aimed at consumers wanting high end phone functionality and market leading levels of extras so much so that it removes the need for carrying a collections of devices with you. Consumers and analysts suggest Nokia has struck gold and the Nokia N95 became probably the best high end smart phone available in 2007 with astonishing sales to match. The GPS and mapping, featuring street maps in more than 100 countries, plus extraordinary good camera and high res video quality are some of the reasons you might consider spending that little bit extra on a Nokia N95. But if you read the spec list you will find there are plenty of other reasons too.
Review Centre Reviews
"One of the best phones I have ever seen," says one reviewer at Review Centre.
"It's superb," says another. The Nokia N95 scores consistently high ratings at Review Centre for its value for money, features and reception. As well as being good at all the things a mobile phone should do - clear reception, impressive screen, etc - the 3g video phone has been extremely popular with owners who enjoy a big amount of functionality on their phone. Owners also regard it as a very desirable looking accessory.
While the music player, although described as good, does not match iPods or similar specialised music players for its sound quality it's still a good accessory. Overall, owners have no hesitation in recommending this phone for its reliability and outstanding value for money. Definitely a phone worth considering if you are gadget hungry.
Design
Its two way sliding design is stylish yet functional and chunky, suggesting a phone for those who mean business. You slide the top up to reveal a small keypad for dialing and texting. With the slider closed there are still buttons left on the front to take calls and access the various extra functions.
Award
Winner of the TIPA (Technical Image Press) Best Mobile Imaging Device In Europe 2007. TIPA described it as a "small mobile wonder and a camera as well."
