I wish I had read the early reviews first!
I have enjoyed membership with Jackie Lawson for over 2 years. So, with my elderly mother just getting to grips with a computer, I offered to pay for 2-year subscription with Jackie Lawson. I chose a card and paid: The money left my bank 5 days ago (I have the proof). The card is stuck in pending with an offer to edit,cancel or PAY NOW. I have used the website contact method 3 times (only received automated response). I have written directly no help@jackielawson. (as yet, no response but I will give them a bit longer). I have read on another forum that Jackie Lawson seem to only pick up complaints via a forum!! Perhaps they need to look at this problem. I wonder how many other people have paid and not got the goods. This is one lady who will take this further and see if there is an issue with company and if money is being taken with no intention of delivering the goods. Seeing a previous comment about automatic renewals I have run off evidence to state that I do NOT want my subscription automatically renewed.

Follow-Up. After sending directly to help@jackielawson.com I received a reply: It was the bog standard answer from the question and answer page - ie it told me I could sent a gift membership but I had to pay for it. My email to them had quite clearly given them all the facts - including that I HAD PAID. I have requested that they re-read my email!! I have also now told them that I am putting this on forums (and updating when I hear from them). I am also going to trawl through this and other forums to see what evidence I can get before taking this further. For info, I read on another forum that you may get an answer if you write on a forum - or email directly to: help@jackielawson.com. (but it seems on this occasion they have NOT READ what I have written). Also, if you read Jackie Lawson terms and conditions, they do have an address you can write to in Devon. I will continue to write updates until it is resolved one way or another.

Second follow up: After writing last review I wrote a rather strong email back to (name removed) at JL and asked them to re-read my email and that I had paid! They did and after investigation they informed me that I had ordered twice and against the payment order I had placed an incorrect email address. This was rectified and the card and gift were sent to the correct address: (name removed) then asked me what Forum site I was using and I advised him of this one. He implied that he would be looking at this to see if they can learn from the feedback. I know on another site he contacted some people and resolved this issue to perhaps it is worth looking to see if you have a comment back from him.

ISSUE RESOLVED: 2nd update: JL's reply to my email did not answer my issue (re: comment 1 to this initial review) so I wrote back rather strongly asking them to re-read my email. (Name removed) from JL replied within hours and apologised for the confusion. After investigation, it would appear that because I had tried to initially pay by PAYPAL (JL website had a problem with PAYPAL) and had to pay by card instead that I had ordered twice. My actual payment went against an incorrect email address. (Name removed) resolved this and sent the email and 2 year subscription gift to the correct person. I am now invited to cancel the incorrect card details in my pending box. It was a nice email from him and all is now resolved. He also asked which forum I had been writing on so that he could have a look to see if there are any other unresolved issues he has missed. Perhaps some of you may hear from him in due course.
