First of all buy your tickets online and make a huge saving-but they are still VERY expensive. We got to the site at opening time one of the first in the gates-great so we thought. Nothing was open or ready, all he stalls were closed or didn't have their floats so couldn't take payment. Everything that the kids wanted to go on is an extra, the Merlin experience, the dungeon etc and they are rubbish. It seems from reading these reviews nothing has changed.2 adults 2 children £56, £2 to park your car in a muddy, poorly lit, unsecure field.I thought it would be nice to take the kids to 'thomas's magical christmas' over the festive period.yes it was new years' day and quiet.but.....it didnt snow 3 times a day 'guaranteed', the slick, glossy advertising campaign did not deliver the experience i had hoped for.the park looked run down, the food was overpriced,(luckily we took our own).and... The event weather line on the morning was saying the event was still on, even although... (read more)

My extended family (13 of us) went to the Chill Factore in the half term holiday to celebrate my birthday. The day was fun but you didn't get much "bang for your buck" so to say on the activities and unfortunately there was no group discount and despite there being a special offer advertised on their website and in the press "half-term children go free" because I had booked slightly before the offer started they wouldn't give me the discount - which I think is very unfair given I did ring...
