The Buck Inn, Malham

Malham village is very picturesque and in my opinion, the Buck Inn makes too much a killing on the 100's of walkers and day trippers to the area. Paying £3.40 for a blackcurrant and lemonade (cordial and machine lemonade) is half the price of a ham sandwich. Really is overkill and when asked if the price is correct the reply "I know, but I'm afraid the price is right" says it all. 10oz Steak sounded nice but at £21.95 I would have expected the sauce to come with it .... no, that is... I must alert your atention to the appaling service I received at the above menthioned branch this afternoon. First of all the staff (two women ) were too busy chating and had their backs turned for over a minute when one finally turned to the till she was rude saying just "a second " in a dismisve manner after she took my order she plonked my change down on a wet tray normally when I go in a coffee shop they give you the change in the hand and talk in a better way to customers. We recently ate out at Tas in Bloomsbury for a staff night out. Because there was so many of us (12 in total) we had to pick our food from a set menu of a meze of starters (which we all shared) and a main meal which we indiviually chose. We booked only an hour or so before we arrived so it was great they could fit us in so late. We were seated in a very packed area downstairs and settled down. We were waiting for a long time on Thursday it wasn't that busy but it looks like it wasn't enough staff on the floor We were 4of us going for quick meal before going out my girlfriend went to the ladies and she found what it appear to be drugs on the sink????
