Having carried out a home perm on my coloured hair my hair was left unmanageable and over processed. I used my big brush heated brush which straightened it out and then curling tongs or straighteners these products did make my hair seem softer however after sleeping the following day my hair was back to being fuzzy so I would have to use straighteners which were damaging my hair however I recently borrowed my friends Instyler at first I couldn't use it but after a few goes it was easy to use... I've had a number of different electric shavers, and this 8890 Aquagenic Philips is simply the best made I have come across ever. Mine is about 7 years old now. I have had to replace the blades once after about 5 years. The battery still lasts about 2-3 weeks (keep in mind I also shave my bald coconut with it). It is expensive, even with half-price discounts that abound but is pleasant-looking and features a unique cleaning method. Not sonic at all, it uses a forceful eddy of water which pushes up against the teeth and gums. The device took a month or so to get used to as it is quite speedy and gives a tickling effect to begin with. I had to keep stopping and starting for many weeks until I got used to it. I was recommended these by my hairdresser. They do a good job on the hair but I have has to return mine twice and my daughter's three times. Apparently there is a fault with the fuse and mine were mended the first time for free but they now chart £30 pounds to mend a fuse. I won't get them mended. There is obviously a fault which they have not managed to rectify. Back to good old GHDs. You would be mad to purchase these. (read more)
