I have an Online Saver account which is cumbersome inasmuch as it requires a feeder account and takes 5 days for money to be transferred in or out of the savings account. My main criticism, however, is the complete lack of customer service. I emailed a query to the website 9 months ago (August 2012) and, despite receiving an automated reply promising action within 5 to 10 days, I am still waiting for their answer. I bought my granddaughter a premium bond for Christmas. My husband and I live in Canada and had done our homework before coming home to the UK for the holidays. We had all the relevant documentation to prove we were UK citizens along with our Canadian ID. All checked and verified before we travelled. After reviewing their Loyalty accounts, I now find myself paying £12.95 a month for travel insurance. I drive a company car so will never need breakdown, they removed the emergency tradesman aspect and after having to claim their mobile insurance, decided to take this with my service provider. For an 'internet bank' they are hilariously slow to respond to their so-called 'secure messages' which you can send when you're logged into your account. There are also a variety of things they aren't able to do through that, because apparently it isn't secure enough O.o I didn't really know how to respond to that. 2 days is really not an appropriate wait time when the whole idea of an 'internet bank' is that you should be able to do everything electronically.
