Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes at first glance filled me with a feeling of unease. With critical flops like Rock 'n Rolla and the confusing Smoking Aces I thought Ritchie had no more tricks up his sleeve after thrilling us with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch but I was wrong.

I was aware of this film from the hype in the US, and couldn't wait for it to open in the UK. I recently got a chance to see it, and I wasn't disappointed. There was much more to the story and character's emotions that should h ...

I am unashamedly a big fan of the director Roland Emmerich's films. I don't go for the intellectual depth or the characterisation of the protagonists, I go because his film's have the biggest, most expensive, most detailed special effects of any film maker in Hollywood today (with the possible excep ...

The Notebook is a beautiful film about love and how it can truly last a lifetime.

It starts off with an old man in nursing home who goes to read to one of the other female patients, he tells the story of two young lovers, Allie, a beautiful city girl, from family money, and Noah, from the country ...
