Aston Martin DB9 is an acclaimed sports car with GT levels of comfort and refinement. Its design philosophy is uncompromising and combines classic Aston Martin flair, craftsmanship and luxury and performance. Jeremy Clarkson of BBCS Top Gear owns one. Britains number one motoring journalist proclaimed the DB9 to be "motoring perfection". Transmission and handling is superb, fast, comfortable and luxurious. The DBR9 is the race track adapted version. The Aston Martin DB9 grand tourer was launched in 2004, available as a coupe or convertible (Volante).
Available as a two-door coupe or convertible body style with 2+2 seating. The Aston Martin DB9 comprises extruded aluminium bonded body structure, aluminium and composite body panels, extruded aluminium door side impact beams, High Intensity Discharge (HID) projector headlamps. All-alloy, quad overhead camshaft, 48-valve, 5935 cc 60 V12. Mid-front mounted, rear-wheel drive produces 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and a staggering maximum speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). The acclaimed transmission is rear mid-mounted Touchtronic 2 six-speed gearbox with electronic shift-by-wire control system, rear mid-mounted six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. Luxury features include Bluetooth, sat nav, iPod and USB MP3 input. Suspension includes front independent double aluminium wishbones incorporating anti-dive
geometry, coil over aluminium monotube dampers and anti-roll bar.
Rear Independent double aluminium wishbones incorporate longitudinal control arms, coil over aluminium monotube dampers and anti-roll bar. Comes with traction control, radial-mounted four piston brakes, monobloc calipers plus Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA0 and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
