Audi S8


The Audi S8 is a high-performance version of the Audi A8 executive car. It was introduced to the European market in 1998, four years after the A8. Early first generation models featured a re-tuned, 340 PS (335 hp/250 kW) V8 engine, standard quattro 4 wheel drive, large wheels and upgraded tires, enlarged brakes, upgraded looks and increased performance. Second generation models from 2006 onwards were even more awesome with a 450 bhp (340 kW) 5.2L V10 FSI engine derived from the 5.0 litre V10 used in the Lamborghini Gallardo. The latest 2007/2008 Audi S8 models are the best yet though offering state of the art luxury combined with an array of sporting extras and an enormous 5.2FSI engine.

    2007/2008 Audi S8 Safety and security Features


    Audi S8 safety and security features includes adaptive lights dynamic cornering lights, including Xenon Plus headlights with coming-home function with LED daytime running lights. These pivoting headlight units follow steering wheel movement from speeds of 7mph upwards (includes headlight washers). Turning-light function integrated into headlights and activated when indicator is switched on, steering wheel is turned considerably or when reverse is selected. Only works with low-beam headlights and at speeds of up to 45mph. Also S adaptive air suspension with firmer shock absorbers.
