“Never trust this!”

This company knows how to sucks customer`s blood inside law. If you claims, they will charge double money next year. You might think that your can change the company next year? They do not let you because they do not settle the claim before new contract. Do not trust km! Once you drive over 11000km, you have to top up 1500km (250euro).Custormer service is terrible. It looks like that one person copy and paste on the computer against more thatn 1 customer. I paid over 5000euro for 2year and I got only 1 years no claim bonus letter because contract does not finish it after 11000km is over. plz do not trust this company!!!!

Yes I've been totally tricked, I spent €1900 on my insurance to be told a month later that it was cancelled, They claimed that I had lied about my age online when first getting a quote when I had to select how long I have held my licence which was 3 years.They said I had selected 1, I had also sent them a photo of my license) and i did not lie. They said I must open a new insurance but have to pay another €800.
Then yesterday it was almost cancelled again. I had 4000 miles left and I got a text suddenly saying I have gone to -1500 and must top up now. They were almost getting away with it, I demanded to speak to a manager and eventually got an apology saying it was an error on their side but I do feel as though they are just trying to lie about how many kms I'm doing to get me to pay more money.
I have no money left because of them. I feel very silly for signing up in the first place and can't wait to switch to a new company when this insurance is over.
DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE.

Boxymo.ie Received renewal 7××.54 euros.. i clicked to see what it comes with higher milage but since then its coming up as no quote. error.. This is worst bloody customer service ever in the whole bloody world. Cheap insurance. Was with them 4 years. But this year renewal came. Same as last year premium. With extra 1 year no claim bonus same car. But same quote as last year. Xxx.54cents. Then that disappeared from online portal. As you can only buy from online portal. So i have no other way but to contect them. Left 15 imassages. Went to live chat waited hours but no one will come up. You go to number 5 from 19 20. But it will freeze at 5. Will ask tou to request a call back. But no bloody call . 20days i waited and went to another local irish company. Paying extra €70 on local but happy with them as have office few blocks away. Stay well bloody away from these English scums.

“Disgraceful Insulting Frustrating”

Worst customer experience I've ever received. The staff are rude and unhelpful, the company messed me around about fitting the box on to occasions then hounded me after for documents. It is impossible to get any discussion or help from them other than what the staff have written on their sheet. The mileage is wholly inaccurate and the rewards are pointless. I was told on one occasion that I had travelled over 300 km even though the car was parked in a garage the entire time. To this I was told there could be a delay in the km being calculate but this wasn't the case. Overall I would not recommend Boxymo to anybody, even though they might be cheaper than other providers it is not worth the hassle or time you spend being abused, insulted and frustrated.

“Disgraceful customer service ”

I got insured with boxymo on the 14/4/17 they sent there engineers out to my house on the 27/4/17 to fit the box in my car and they wouldn't allow the engineer to fit the box in my car they are trying to say I had springs cut in my car and that my car was lowered so I got a phone call the day after the box should have been fitted to be told they force cancelled my policy! After they taking a deposit of €800, I went to a mechanic to get the car checked if my springs were cut and my car hasn't been modified in any way , I then went to the main volkswagan dealer because I drive a golf and 3 more mechanics checked my car and told me it was never modified and the springs on my car are standard volkswagan springs I contacted boxymo straight away by live chat because they wouldn't call me by phone and I explained to them that they are wrong and I can get it in writing from the main dealer and they still said no my car has been modified no communication with this company at all a total disgrace what they have done to me but I will 100% get to the bottom of it because I am been wronged and had my policy cancelled for no reason at all!!

“terrible company! Just awful!”

Iv had many insurers over the years and this is by far the worst ever! My teenage son passed his test and this company came up cheapest but after taking the payment they tried to make things hard like forever asking for new documents with ridicolously short deadlines and threatening to cancel the policy! We done everything they asked and carried on being insured but then when it came to renew they wouldn't renew and didn't give an explanation only to say their 'underwriting criteria' had changed!!! My son never had an accident and each month he got reward miles for good driving so I don't get it as nothing at all had changed only my son got a year older which if anything should have made things better!! Also they don't take phone calls, really?? A company like this and customers can't ring and speak to someone! Very strange way to run a business, and when u request they call you it takes days sometimes! Customer service is bad and staff are rude! They should be investigated by trading standards!

There is not enough room here to describe how bad this company is. My daughter has just rang me very distressed. She is a young student nurse who needs her car and they have been absolutely dreadful. This company should be highlighted to an ombudsman or reported to the papers.

“Avoid Avoid Avoid ”

Avoid at all cost.....disaster to deal with by phone or by email,can't contact them by phone directly so need request a call which took 2 to 3 days for them to do there online system just as bad... The box in the car is not my problem with them, I changed my car twice while with then which they didn't seem to like at all, they seem to make up rules as they go along, the last time i changed my car they requested pics before putting it on cover....as for the mileage allowance isnt too bad once you don't go over it if do it will cost hundreds of euro for extra miles..i didn't use all my miles because if you change your car it can take them 6wks to fit a new box...so 6 wks of unlimited mileage...there's a tip for anyone who is unfortunate enough to be insured with this shower, AVOID AVOID AVOID

In short,big fees for everything.Fee to set up DD, fee to change anything. Policy can only be cancelled by post. Rubbish customer service. Pay someone else for a normal unrestricted policy and peace of my and a stress freer experience. I couldn't not recommend these people enough.

“Boxymo - Terrible service”

I purchased a car and filled out the transfer of ownership form, I got notice that they required car registration log book. I uploaded the copy of the original car registration certificate and transfer of ownership form and explained that I was waiting on the tax office to send it back in my name. The company to install the box in the car cancelled at the last minute and changed the date to a later time. I got notification that my policy was going to cancel and rang to explain the situation. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor but was told that they won't take any phonecalls, I sent an email to the complaints department and heard nothing back. The documentation requests the car registration certificate which was sent to them but not accepted. They cancelled the policy with reasons being no box fitted and car registration not received, both of which were out of my control. I was told that they will be charging me a cancellation fee for a policy that I never wanted to be cancelled, but won't tell me how much. Don't bother telling me in a response to this to send an email to your complaints email account, I've already done that and had no response. I have never dealt with such unhelpful people on the phone or been told that supervisors don't take any phonecalls. I actually think I've had a lucky escape because I would hate to be dealing with them if ever I needed to make a claim.

This company goes out of their way to make things difficult for you. It is impossible to get to speak to anyone. They take your money, bombard you with emails, requesting more and more information and in the end tell you they cannot insure you. Useless customer service - totally incompetent company

Boxymo are terrible to young drivers pull them in with the cheap prices but they make sure that they pay out a lot more money. They keep putting up the prices of the top ups. Send cancellation letters nealy every week. Send emails telling you to topup within 7 days and then don't give you the 7 days. Hope people avoid it all together

IN all my life i have never dealt with such a shower . take your money and then write to you to say they are cancelling your insurance before they even install the box. but don't tell you this when you sign up expect paperwork to be back within 24 hrs and can't even answer the phone so much for customer care

“would not insure my car”

i waited a hour to talk to some in cusomer service only to be told that they would not insure my car just because it had not been insured in the last 3 months. i told them i had not got my full licence and that is why it had not been used but they still refused to insure me. when i asked to speak to a manager they told me to write a complaint and i would get a response within 28 days but they still wont insure my car.

If you're a young driver looking for cheap insurance stay clear from this company as you will be charged way more than getting decent insurance in the first place. First of all I set up a policy with these guys in sept only for them to cancel it again within 3 weeks as I hadn't sent them the required documents even though I had. They cancelled it and took my deposit. As I use my car to travel to university I urgently needed insurance again so I set up a new policy with them but I claimed my deposit back which they only gave me back £300 of the £520 deposit. So I set up a new policy and I told them I want to change the amount of miles I travel yearly to 6000 miles. In the end they messed up and just kept all the details on my policy the same as my cancelled one and now I am currently paying for "top up miles" because I have used all my policy miles. Top up miles start form £48.50 for 250 miles which is a rip!!! Their boxes are fixed they said I used 250 top up miles in a week and a half which is impossible as I now only drive to work and back. The amount of money I have paid to this joke of a company is extortionate. LASTLY, it is nearly impossible to get through to a human on the phone! I am counting down the days to my years policy is over and im free from this nightmare of a company!

we are in the same position... in my case i wanted to change my address which is 5 minutes away then they want to charge me extra 515 euro just to change address i will consult the irish insurance ombudsman about this they are very stressful insurance

“FRAUDULENT INCOMPETENT CHANCERS”

I can only strongly advise any young person or parent of a young person setting out with their first insurance AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. After removing a deposit of £360 from my daughter's account followed by her first monthly payment of £102 they decided her many and varied forms of identification which she provided at their request were not adequate and cancelled her policy leaving her witH a grand total of 4 weeks driving costing heR £462. After days on end trying to get through to them eventually she,was told she would get a partial refund. This included taking off the £102 for the months driving which was fair enough. They proceeded to tell her she would also lose £100 for the box they had installed and a further £30 cancellation fee which made no sense as she was not the one who broke the contract. On the phone they were not only unhelpful but deliberately obstructive. So many weeks passed without her money being put back into her account we felt no other option but to get our local political representative involved. Eventually they gave her the grand sum of £202 back. A shoddy setup to say the least. They caused nothing but grief to my daughter who saved so hard to get her wee car on the road. I can only repeat AVOID THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!!!

We were taking my niece to the airport & my son was pulled over by the Police only to be told that he had no insurance a payment which I am sure is deducted from my account on the 15th of each month since October 2014, after 25minutes we were able to speak to someone at Hastings & the Police informed us that Hastings had not send the relevant paperwork to DVLA! Really!!!! & all I was told by Hastings is that someone would look into it!!! Is this a regular practice!? Sounds dodgy to me....... I'm definitely switching insurance unless someone can provide me with a better explanation even the Police Officer told me to take it further.

Insured my daughter with Boxymo.ie less then 3 weeks ago, paid in full the sum of €1600. returned all requested documents and waited for telematics to arrive to fit box 2 weeks later i receive an email from boxymo saying they are cancelling my policy due to documents not been recieved after spending 3 days on the phone trying to contact them i eventually get through and sort things out or so i thought! next i get a call from telematics saying they are arriving in the morning to fit box, next morning they arrive only for engineer to receive a call from his office saying to abort the job as boxymo have cancelled policy !!!! Now boxymo are refusing to refund any monies surely this cant be right. DO NOT have any dealings with these people pay the extra few hundred with a decent company you will save money in the end

I was weary of this company from the start but it was cheaper than my last insurer.. I wish I had of stuck with axa for the extra €100 .. boxymo is a fake! I paid a €400 deposite I then paid my monthy payment after they receives my first paymeant they cancelled my insurence left me down hundreds of €€€ Then they said I could get reinsured for another deposite... trying to get more money out of me when I said no they asked for €125 to get the TRSCKER taken ouv my car ..yes a tracker they installed when I got "insured" They I told them I had changed adress and requested they send the documents I sent them to my new address.. they sent them to ny old house. They then rang me and saod they had sent them to my old house after me telli g them pasifcly to send them to my new address. They then wanted €25 to send a COPY of my documents to my new address. I told them to keep the documents I wasn't paying 25 euro for their mistake. I'm disgusted with the customer service. Absolute joke. People have said oh it was great for the first couple of weeks and then they hit u with somethi g like this. Do not trust this insurer!!

I was told that the car insurance at boxymo is about £1,800 for the exact same car and driving license type but when I type in my details it shows me over £3,000. Why is this?
