Azucar Bar, Leeds is a tapas bar with a difference. many of the dishes are from latin america rather than european spain. the surroundings are stylish and comfortable, with some nice ambient music played when i was there. plenty of tables, but not heaving. this is a good thing though as they don't actually book tables
great selection of drinks from latin america including mexican and other beers from the region (including an argentinian lager), a large array of rums, and some fantastic cocktails. they did a mean margarita
food is fantastic too. i have a dish of xin xim (a brazilian chicken stew with peanuts), jerk chicken, patatas bravas, and a dish of aubergines with tomates. as with the potatoes, they do a few traditional spanish dishes as well as the new world delicacies including meatballs and chorizo.
defintely worht a visit for good food and atmosphere. it's also on brewery wharf, so would be fantastic during the summer sitting outside on a warm evening
