For the person complaining about the weak spring, use machine oil in the button recess... it makes it completely functional and effortless to tap the button and have the blade release.

As a whole the complete set of 3 ( tanto ninja and katana) are well worth the investment having 15 years of sword fighting experience in mock combat as well as being trained in Koga-ryu form of shinobi. As an overall whole the sword was well worth the investment

While to some it looks pretty, the overall effort and care made to make this sword are dangerously cheap and ineffective. The half push tang construction is extremely unstable and impractical while the blade itself is made of a cheap steel. The product is unsafe beyond the general fact that anything sharp is potentially dangerous, the product is overpriced and I would recommend staying away from this crudely constructed sword. Buy a real sword preferably at a renaissance fair. Or buy quality swords from museum replicas limited.

The Samurai 3000 Ninja sword is a neat looking sword with a nice gimic to it. However it is a United Cutlery sword with a Stainless Steel blade. It is not at all authentic or functional. The only thing you can really do with it is hang it on your wall and make pretend it is a real sword that.
Its ok for an imitation sword but not a real collector's sword.

The United Cutlery Samurai 3000 Ninja is totally awesome! It is defiantly futuristic. I love this sword! The sheath feels like it is made of fibre glass. And every time you draw the sword or put it back it feels and sounds like the sword is grinding on the inside of sheath.

I have received my Samurai 3000 Ninja sword from the good folks at Blades Unlimited (.co.uk). I brought it as a collectors item since I like swords and I have to say, I have never been more pleased with anything I have ever purchased!!! the Samurai 3000 Ninja has a super fine detailed handle and a strong, sharp and beautifully polished blade. the whole sword is about 33" in lenght and is a must for any sword lover. for the first time, what you see in the picture is definately what you get! I will definately be getting the other swords in the Samurai 3000 collection.

Sounds like a nice blade. Do you really think that no belt loops would stop lunatics from taking them to the strees?

yeah it looks fantastic as a display piece and it certainly looks better in real life than it does in the catalogue of internet. but i wouldnt recommend swinging it about! ( i havent tried and because it looks so good i dont want to risk it! i built a display stand for mine out of some corner shelves and a stair spindle, andded some up lighters to the base and it looks very cool as an evening light!

Futuristic is cool, and the grinding of the sheath sounds like something that happens in movies a ton. I would be afraid to grind on something that felt like fibre glass, though.
