I ordered a 2 special offer cases advertised in a flyer through the letterbox, they sent just 'one' out of eight wines in the offer and filled the cases with others I had not ordered and suspect were both cheaper and inferior.
Apparently this is the norm as far as customer services are concerned, load of bull about similar quality etc.
The flyer was dated July and I ordered in the middle of the same month.
Having checked after receiving the wrong wines, their website said the correct wines were still available 'after' they had sent the substitutes!
Customer services just sent a cut and paste reply without any concern for the lack of ethics in their business practice.
I will be checking with trading standards to see if this is legal and the advertising standards to see if they think it's honest.
I'm now off their mailing list and would not touch them or any of their associated direct wine outfits with the proverbial barge pole.
