Reference York Fitness Olympic Weights. I have bought approximatly 500kgs worth of York olympic weight plates. I bought them based on Yorks good reputation, and the fact that I have had York standard weights from my early teens through to my 30s. On arrival I was very dissapointed with the drop in quality, and lack of QC. Apart from the design and colour of the plates, I have nothing good that I can say about them. Totally agree. I bought a brand new set of York 1" hole plates recently and on every one on both sides an angle grinder had been used around the hole before painting and although it doesn't affect their use they sure aren't pretty. When I buy more plates in the future (York ones to match the outside diameters of the plates I have already) I'm definitely going with second hand. Maybe York send their 'seconds' to Britain and sell at full price.
