It really is an odd place. The grounds and gardens are wonderful - like something from a Merchant Ivory film. But the inside of the house - plastic flowers and plants, Lino on the bathroom floor, cheap light fittings and lamps - there was a framed poster of Monet's water lilies on the bedroom wall which was so faded there was no colour left in it at all! It's like someone decided to decorate it in a country house style with a very small budget and even less taste. Also they are very welcoming the day you arrive but they want you out the next day as soon as possible - breakfast is from 09.00-09.30 - half an hour! What a pity that the inside of the house does not live up to the outside which is truly beautiful.
