Firstly I must stress the difference between the Kingston branch and Walton.Kingston shop awe had a fantastic experience there for a previous wedding.
Walton iand the difference between the 2 is vast.
We ordered a Wedding Dress in May being told it would be made to measure and would arrive at the shop in August. Measurements were taken etc, a Sash was sold to us as an extra because the assistant kept insisting it needed a little something around the Waist line.The Dress arrived approx 2 weeks later, which we believe is a Sample Dress, not only because of the speed of delivery' but the sizing was completely wrong and the Label was written all over in pen, and came on a cheap plastic hanger!!. Unfortunately we did not have any knowledge of this until we went to collect the Dress in August .
On going to make the final payment and collect the Dress we discovered the wrong Veil had been ordered, and the Dress was far too big ( and yes I do know about alterations etc, but this was way over that ) so much so that my Daughter refused to sign to say she was happy with the Dress. At this time the Manager was on holiday and nobody else there could deal with the problem.
When we got home we contacted the supplier and they sent a confirmation email that the Sash is included with Dress.
When I eventually managed to contacted the Manager after numerous calls and messages left for her at the Walton Branch their answer is , it's our business we can charge what we like and we charge separately for the Dress and Sash. And we do not provide any refunds. Up to this morning it has been on their website at a price and stating " including Sash ", since our complaint it has been withdrawn from the site.
One of their advisers even took the liberty to laugh and put the phone down on me when I questioned why they do not fulfil the obligation of Refunds.
Very poor customer service and a terrible way to treat a bride to be at such a stressful time.

This is a long reply so i will do a summery. Dress was bought in may, the customer apparently saw it on our website cheaper in may (not true, as we have only just added our sample into the sale) and with other people cheaper in may, she has only now complained. If you bought a car and found it cheaper 5 months you would not be refunded. The dress did come in sooner as the designer esculate orders to wedding date, surely getting the dress in early is a good thing? The designer does include the belt but we separate the belt and deduct the dress accordingly as not everyone one wants a belt or the ones we have, it is upto the individual shop to price their gowns, if other choose to do it cheaper then thats upto them, however the designer has a lower limit, not an upper limit, this lady did not speak to the designers, i have the email to confirm. The dress is not made to measure. The gown is a new with original tags on, which the designer has confirmed if anyone wants to see it. The gown was the correct size, she fitted our sample on the waist,her measurements came up slightly into the bigger size, but as it was an open back we had a bit of tolerance, to go smaller would mean she would have over hang at the back. This lady has bought from us twice before and knows how it works, the wedding is getting closer now so suspect they have over spent and just trying to get money off. no one our end put the phone down (she did it twice to us) and no one laughed, this lady was very vocal to the point of shouting, why would we add fuel to her fire? We have done a 0% payment plan for this lady, something other stores dont do. As this lady has been to us we value her business and dont like to see people upset, we offered to clean her daughters dress worth £115 and the belt £35, which is the value of the belt, as a good will gesture, she declined.
