“Go Bridal Birmingham are belittling, condescending and...”

Written on: 16/06/2012 by Bridesaysgivemestrengh

When I first went to Go Bridal Birmingham, to find my Wedding dress I was treated very well, I originally was planning to spend £750 on my dress but ended up with a very very beautiful dress for £2,395. My problems started with the staff when I brought up a discrepancy with the remaining balance due for my dress. The difference was £100 more than what was stated on my previous balance receipt. Fiona the store manager’s treatment of me was unbelievably patronising and belittling, She made out I was mistaken then put me on the spot in front of other customers to remember dates, times and payment amounts as well as who served me!! I was unsurprisingly unable to for fill this request but was able to produce the receipt proving what I had stated. Fiona took the paper and scribbled wrong amount on the paper and said that one of her staff must of made a mistake. My response to this was to ask for a copy of the updated receipt which shows all my payments and dates, which I was denied, I was told if I want it I would have to speak to their manager Alison at their Headquarter office in Tunbridge Wells . Alison turned out to be an accountant with a venomous tongue not Headquarters manager, She point blank said no to the revised receipt blamed me for the discrepancy and rounded off the conversation with telling me if I was not happy with the service, pay the remaining balance and take my dress elsewhere for fitting!! I could not form words at this point to respond as I was in absolute shock! These people left me very upset with their underhanded, demeaning money grabbing approach to a Bridal service. They should me ashamed of themselves!! In terms of Value for money was my dress!! hats off to Alan Hannah for a stunning dress!
