If you have no experience in developing a website be prepared to do a lot of reading about file handling and most of the basic things that an experienced web designer would know. One thing about the pitch page to get you to sign on: The advertised price is only if you sign on for 3 years. That's not known until you check out your purchase. Hosting service often goes down of a couple of hours at a time without warning. When tech support is reached it is claimed to be for regular maintenance or occasionally emergency maintenance due to a security threat on your shared host--sometimes requiring all your passwords to need to be reset. Any domain name registration with them is automatically set to auto-renew. However, no reminder is sent out, only the receipt. Calls to the billing department are in vain as they claim that no... After first signing up with webhostinghub I was fairly impressed. Overall they are very much like any other hosting company out there, but there were a few small differences that I liked. Flash forward to one year after I have been using their service. In the past 2 months I have had to contact their support to get my hosting account re-activated. The reason? My experience with WebHostingHub has always been great. Whenever I need help and need to contact tech support they have always been very polite and helpful. My wait time on the phone has never been more than a couple of minutes. I've never had any problems with the service and whenever I have needed help with things like addon domains or stopping automatic renewal of domain names that I no longer need then they have either taken care of it for me or walked me through what I needed to do.... Had a small issue with trying to call them as i was overseas and in the contact details, they had not included a digit... however after chatting with their staff online, they gave me the full number and over the phone was a pleasure to communicate with... quick and helpful. For modern sites is necessary to correct determine the type and version of the client browser. For future problem with non-understanding CSS3. The phph's command get_browser() very helpful but in own turn need in latest browscap.ini file. I solved problem by creating folder "extras" in my folder of the site and put in the browscap.ini file, additionally I change the php.ini in field [browscap] - just uncomment it. The uptime is incredible and if I experience a problem, the support chat is amazing. They will fix the problem while you wait! We set up our site with webhostinghub because of high reviews. Once up, they took our site down non-stop with no notice, because we were getting too much traffic--really?! Isn't that WHY you have a site?? We paid to get the issues they told us fixed, yet they finally SUSPENDED our account because of our traffic. I was double charged on the yearly renewal of my domain. It would have been nice to have had a notice of some kind prior to the automatic charge which was also double charged. I had to call and get the second charge reversed. The representative was very friendly and helpful. He could not answer all of my questions about possibly cancelling the service but referred me to another web site to fill out a cancellation notice which would then be reviewed for a follow up 3-5 days later. I was on hold for too long. I was looking for help navigating the website. The customer service rep was impatient and condescending. I felt embarrassed and belittled. I felt I should apologize for not knowing more about what I was doing. Only after he informed me I would be getting an email requesting a review was he respectful. I had an error during checkout, I was billed the incorrect amount. I did not receive an e-mail with account login or invoice. Customer support took hours to respond to my e-mail and all they said was to call in the morning. At the bottom of the e-mail theres a link to review my ticket but I can't because I have no login. Chat support staff dont help what so ever, they are just instructed to point you towards a tutorial. Annoying They do not know how to resolve issues and just end up telling you that its your fault, (maybe but that doesn't fix a single thing when i dont know what is wrong, THANKS!. You guys charged me $11.95 for "managing my domain" even though i cancelled my subscription with you guys 3 seconds after i paid! This is a steal! $11.95 for nothing!
