Krystal is my fourth host in 8 years. The first host that has a support team that actually understand queries I've put to them and were happy to either sort it out or talk me through the solution.
I had problems configuring email and dns forwarding, but rather than ask for help I looked through the knowledge base to see how good it is. I found what I needed, a clear walk-through, problems solved. I should also mention that this is the first cpanel that I found intuitive and easy to navigate.
I have been so used, in the past, to support staff following a script, asking and answering questions by rote that it's a really pleasant experience to talk to someone intent on smoothing out my problem and felt like they were in the next room instead of on the other side of the world.
My last host accidently deleted my account, my websites and released my domains. Their response was to deny I existed, then to claim I cancelled my contract four years ago. They eventually accepted a mistake had been made (only after I asked for a refund of all the invoices I had paid) but offered no help whatsoever to correct it.
Just because a host is a big company and can afford flash t.v. advertising campaigns it does not mean they're interested in providing a customer centered, reliable service.
Krystal clearly take a veiw that keeping customers is just as important as getting new ones.
I've taken the time to write this review because this is the first time in 8 years I have been able to praise a host instead of complaining about them.
I believe that my website now seems to load faster although that's only my opinion and one last bonus, the money I pay to Krystal stays in the UK instead of going abroad to a foreign company. Talking of money, I'm on the cheapest contract, amethyst, which is less than what I used to pay, and it offers much more than I need.
I would recommend Krystal all day long.
