Attempted to buy a pre-registered domain (i.e. already register by another owner). Although my offer was low, it reflected the value to me, I wasn't overly bothered as it would have had only a marginal effect on my business. The sales executive managed to put GoDaddy on my avoid list, seemed to take the process quite personally, something wrong at home maybe? There are plenty of other companies offering the same services without the personal reflections of sales staff on the customers business methodology, good or bad.

Please provide details about your experience I got a domain for a business I had and closed 4 years ago in 2014 GoDaddy charged me $255 in 2016 because they said I had hit the recurring payment button and would not remove the charge at that time I cancelled the service and behold in 2018 again they charged me $255 I called again and again they didn't remove it, they wont cancel my account and since I have no access to my account because of the old password used they wont help me in getting to my account. I asked them to cancel the recurring payment and to cancel my account and they wont do it. Their treatment is down right discriminator and rude, they can care less about you once you leave and apparently they must be in trouble when they keep charging fees unnecessarily. DO NOT USED GODADDY they don't care about you when you leave them and will do what they can get those $$$$ DO NOT USE THEM especially if you're Hispanic, I was treated like a second class citizen and I was treated like dirt, this coming from people that answer phone for a living go figure. I thought I would try Go Daddy for two years and then move on. Received a charge from Go Daddy for a renewal I didn't authorize. I called the company and its position is that renewals are automatic unless you check a box. Oh, and it would refund your charge after five days, only the credit card statement doesn't come within it's five day window!

Go Daddy talked our company into upgrading to Office 365 email. They said it would be easy and they would migrate all our emails. On migration day, they said they couldn't migrate folders with more than 25,000 emails. We had one employee with 50,000 in his inbox and 75,000 in his sent items. We had to move them 1000 at a time to other folders. Each user had to download Office Assistant and some other files. We finally got through all of this and email wouldn't work. Go Daddy said you have to us a new login which takes several steps. I accomplished this but I couldn't provide the steps to other employees because email wasn't working. I had to call and go through the steps with each employee. I have spent 2 days on this and it is only marginally working. When you call technical support you get sometimes a qualified person but many times a clueless person. I am counting the days till our contract is up.

I bought a domain with godaddy in 2015, I heard nothing more from them for two years when the trebled the price and then took the money from me without reminding me renewal was due or notifying me of the new price. I called them to refund it but they said they don't refund .co.uk domains. I asked for the address of their complaints department, and guess what, they don't have one. All you can do is moan at the helpdesk guy. Shoddy service and Dishonest business model.

Run Away! Any chance to charge you they will. I had multiple domains to renew, expiring over the course of 3 months. I had a bulk price renew discount offer. I got a better offer elsewhere however GoDaddy would not release the domains to the other company. They told me if I wanted to keep my domains I would have to renew through them. Since I had to keep my business domains, I was forced to pay. They said they would give me the bulk offer they made me and I paid. Then I found out they did not renew all the domains as discussed. And once again had to pay if I want to keep them. Another $75 later. It cost me more than if I had just renewed each one online separately. Do not call in. Every time I speak to someone they make it worse. I will initiate transfer of domains again.

I purchased a domain at go daddy, and was in the process to publish my site, and in that process I was given a choice of $144 to publish, and edit my site I find this ridiculous and refused to pay it, well now I cannot even publish my site, without paying this extortion!! another charge was added to my account, because all the settings are set to auto renew, and if you dont shut them off (which they never alert you too) than you are charged, and you have to go thru the ringer to get your money back, This service (if u can call it that) is a sham, and if you dont pay attention to every little detail they will WHACK YOU with a charge.. My suggestion is to go somewhere else!!!

O M G Total in Side Scheming With this Site ie i Brought Starfleet.uk Domain Name of there site for £3.49 so can run my taxi Company i payed for it got the Receiet for it and everything Now saying that they Want to give me refund i just found out they want to sell it on there own Domain Auction for over £500 back to me like did with StarFleet.com tooo they robbing your Domain Names for inside Trading

Further proof godaddy think they are above bothering about a customer who has a serious complaint! the person I dealt with has just tailed off! further proof of the fact that godaddy do not care for some customers is the person I dealt with's feedback 6th december, the first person I dealt with simply palmed him off with the excuse that co. Uk domains cannot have privacy, not seeming to understand that he is blaming them for not making him aware of that at the begining, instead of just taking the money and not being professionally proactive and advising a customer of this sort of basic technicallity, as is the duty of a professional. worse, and further proof of inefficiency and carelessness is that they did the same thing to me after him. Proof that they do not care enough to take ownership of the prob and call all staff together and make them aware that they must not allow customers to be treated so disgustingly. and during it i met with utter carelessness, and even when i asked for a manager i was palmed off and got nowhere, and not one person let alone a manager even phoned or emailed or texted me in the circumstances to pacify me. i had been made to waste 2 weeks a load of money, several phone calls where i was made to stay on the line for over an hour. When i asked please let me go and then phone me back, they would not with the childish excuse we have no way to do that. this sort of carelessness! Is not fair nor ethical. To save money for godaddy to add to the zillions you have already made at the expense of your customers wealth and mental health. It took godaddy 2 weeks of doing my brain in to get to the unacceptable end. they never once took ownership of my support prob until i had gone absolutely mad at them for two weeks and then one guy who really understood, & tried, spent about an hour and a half with me on the phone, he said 4 managers and others were in contact right then with him, and he finally sorted it out, if you can call it that. But even now after i told them i was moving co. Uk to another company in order to get privacy iv just found out elswhere that that is still not possible so again they failed to try to understand what a customer wants/needs and advice them! They have used my time money steered me into trouble and played me for a fool for 2 weeks and left me stranded! ------------------------------------------------------------------ below is what i "thought", before i needed them to really hear me. since then they have gone down and down. I have been told by their own staff that its because they are taking on so much inexperienced uneducated staff, and putting them straight on to answer customers problems when they know less than us. i used to think they were great, but now that iv had problems they have treated me like ****, and that is simply because i do not spend enough £1000s with them. i have had bad service before but this ranks at the top. They stalled me over and over again. They cost me a lot of money. They wasted many many hours & days of my time to save money for themselves. so beware they are cutting down on customer service to save their money whilst costing the customer money instead of good service. i was even told by a supervisor that "we dont have a customer service"!!! i am moving all my stuff away from them as soon as i can. They have totally done my brain in for much more than a week, and still left me fuming. no one will ever phone you nor email you to apologise, and deal with it, even if you have a massive complaint. They rely on numbers, and their false advertising on tv to replace lost clients rather than personal touch to keep them, and only look after mega spenders. "beware of them, they will do your brain in when you really need them to make sense". i am happy to expand on this, and i dare godaddy to challenge me to open debate, & show all the recordings etc, or to try to sue me for slander etc. I would love that opportunity. i intend to post this and more at every place on the internet.

Ive had to call twice for technical assistance and both times the wait time was very minimal 1 or 2 minutes, I was connected directly to a tech which was extremely helpful and very friendly. I did'nt have to be transfered to 4 different operators or tiers to get to someone that knew what they where doing!!

As my title says, I can not say I am happy or unhappy with GoDaddy. If I sum it up, after other experiences with similar companies, at least they didn't ripped me off. Their online interface, specially when buying or renewing domains is quite complex. Meaning that if you are not very, very careful they will stuff up your throat lots of things you don't want..like domain with useless extensions, donations, super-protection, etc, etc... Use it careful!!

Joined a year ago paid my money but due to a change in circumstances wasn't able to continue using them. Totally impossible to cancel/delete account. They take mony from you even after you have stopped payments. No Customer email address to contact. costly phone call to make and unknown amount of time they'll keep you on? Almost impossible to navigate the site as you'll only go around in circles. I would seriously suggest that you avoid these people at all cost.

Been with GoDaddy for about 3 months now on the Ultimate Plan. No real problems so far and I have found Customer Services to be good and quick at resolving any issues I have had. I like the business extras with the Ultimate account and find these really useful. Overall V Good so far. Based on my experience so far, I would recommend and would use again.

I joined Go Daddy on 1 Dec 2014. A great disappointment once they had their payments. Could not navigate their website easily as none of the tools worked properly. or edit anything when building my website. It did not even come up when searching the website. Complained to them and you could tell they fobbed me off. I will make sure I check any reviews before dealing with these sort of websites. Be warned. I would like to cancel my subscript ion but know this will be like navigating a minefield. Wish me luck. I will have to cancel my debit card so they don't renew it without my permission. They are complete and utter frauds and should be reported to Trading Standards. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy!!!

This company is horrible, terrible ethics, poor customer service, and awful hosting. Our e-commerce website is constantly down or freezing, we have ongoing shopping cart issues, and our customers are complaining about the slow download time of our website and checkout glitches. We cannot wait to leave GoDaddy from the stone age of e-commerce. Working on this as we speak. Please take note how nasty this company is in how they treat their customers. GoDaddy are not wiling to fully perform their jobs. Stay away, this is not a website builder or tool to run an ecommerce business or really do much of anything in today's fast paced environment.

Be careful of GoDaddy, folks! We had been with them for three years and out site was up for renewal. They told us we had ten days to decide if we wanted to renew then deleted our emails without a warning a day later. They asked us for $47.00 to get them back. What disappointing customer service!

Go Daddy, like other companies suck you in with cheap deals, but then come renewal, hike the prices. Not only that, tech support have a style of their own . . . it's called "we don't give a shot" Don't bother with them, useless!

I've had a similar problem, not very customer friendly, just quote their very inflexible policies which they change at intervals and expect everyone to know what they've done!!. I reiterate your comments above they don't put that on their flashy adverts when they want you to use their services
