“Awful - don't use freeparking”

really un-intuitive website format, whish is tricky to navigate and a bit of an eye-sore. the support on the website is bad, they take about 5 days to get back to you and then when they do they arent particularly helpful. i have just transferred my domains away from freeparking because i cant deal with it anymore!… Read Full Review

“FREEPARKING - NEVER USE THEM”

Been with them for about 5 years. If their server breaks, they never tell you or post on their website, so you just have to wait days for them to fix. Recently paid to ncrease storage space and payment was rejected so did again. Found out they took the money and never upgraded so requested a refund 4 times over 4 weeks and just ignored it. “Dobt do anything and don't respond”

Tried to register a new domain with them. It "awaited processing" for three days and they didn't respond to my request for help/information/anything. Registered it with somone else. “Went from bearable to dire”

I used Freeparking for over a decade. What I liked about them at first was their control panel, which gives you a lot of options to adjust the settings for your domains, and their prices - not free, of course, but fairly competitive, probably because the company is US based. What I disliked was the unreliable email forwarding, the fact that some control panel options didn't work properly, and their slow technical support. “Avoid”

We used this company for over 10 years. They were great at first but certainly over the last 12-24 months they have gone down the pan. Like others I've had trouble contacting their support as there is no email address or direct phone line. This never used to be an issue as they were good at responding via their ticket system but these days they are just not at home. Sounds terribly familiar though I've had intermittent problems over the same period! As far as I recall, I've only ever had a response from one guy at FreeParking - I think they're a sole trader . . .

Their New Zealand outfit seems a bit better - at least they post notices of system problems! It's being left in ignorance that bugs me with this crowd.

“Multiple charges for same domain name”

When we first had to renew our domain registration, we were charged twice. We sent emails asking for a refund but nothing happened. On the second renewal the same thing happened. Since November 2012 I have been trying to get a refund, having been charged twice for 1 domain name, yet again nothing has happened and up to today - Still no response. “Very unhappy customer!”

I am very disappointed, I have been using Freeparking for over 10 years with no problems and about a month ago I registered 2 new domain names through them only to find that they have taken my money and haven’t registered them at all. I sent in a support query and have received no response from them. In the meantime someone else has registered one of my domain names and the other I have had to register through another site. “Fallen from grace”

I have used freeparking.co.uk for over 10 years and have around 20 names registered with them. They were quite cheap and one of the first companies to provide a full diy control-panel interface. In the past they responded quickly to support requests which were signed either Sam or Max. However in the last few months I have been unable to get a response to a support problem despite a couple of reminders. Yup, I agree. Ten years ago they were ahead of the game and I use to route all of my web related work through them. Now it seems as though the business has been allowed to deteriorate to where it's managed by one man and a dog from his bedroom (perhaps Max was the dog?).

No longer use them, and would recommend to avoid.

Same here, I have 2 domains registered for 8 years and have just upgraded my phone to an iphone. Emails come in but can not be sent from the phone and my phone provider requires details from freeparking to change the phone settings to allow sending via my pop3 email. It has now been 9 days without a response from freeparking customer support, despite me registering 3 follow up support requests asking for assistance. Like you say, it's as if they've simply left the building. And with no other way of contacting them, my only alternative now is to move my domains elsewhere and suffer all the associated hassle.

Hear, hear!!! Hassle? I have a feeling that transferring is going to be a real bind and that a goodly part of it will be down to freeparking.

I had been with freeparking.co.uk for almost two years. You sign up on line, set up your mail boxes and then the fun begins... This company regularly lost my e-mail messages, the mail servers were constantly down or not responding. My mailboxes and accounts were so messed up I had to move my e-mail over to gmail for several months.
