A year ago (dec 2010) Fasthosts billed me for a service which I cancelled months before.They issued warnings, applied late fees and sent the account to Debt Collectors. They would not admit their mistake till three months later after escalation considerable correspondence and much wasted time on my part.
They did not apologise, just emailed me that the account was cancelled. So arrogant and impersonal.
Its 12 months on and I have received invoice for the same service ( even though the domain is hosted elsewhere) and reminders. A late payment fee of £24 has been applied to my account and the account locked ( I wasn't using it anyway). And Today I receive their standard Final Notice threatening use of a Debt Collection Agency.
All this for a service cancelled 18 months ago.
Either they are crooks - issuing false invoices and reminders - or wholly incompetent.
I now believe the latter is the case and I will contact Trading Standards.
