Fasthosts....not an apt name! Avoid like the plague!

Where do I start?
Well, ignoring the extensive downtime due to security problems, extensive email downtime a few times this year (literally 3 days with no email), oh, and ignoring the outsourced support to India where staff only work from scripts, and the slow (if at all) response to support via email, my main issues were with their slow servers (particularly when using php pages).

For months, I spent ages tweaking my site, minimising everything that could be minimised but still found my site to be sluggish. I contacted 'Fast'hosts (ha ha) numerous times. Each time, they denied it was a problem their end.

After moving to a new host, my site performance in Google's webmaster tools went from an average of 4.0 seconds to load to 0.4 seconds - with no changes my end!

I can honestly say, I am suprised this company is still running. There services has been so bad, it's almost funny. For a business relying on a website for 90% of it's income, they came close to ruining me...twice just this year! This was due to lost orders, lost large order enquiries through no email for 3 days etc...the list is endless!

You'd be hard pushed to find anything good about this company.

Unless you want to waste money, jeopardise your business and manage a slow running website with little or no support - oh, and not forgetting extensive email / website downtime and numerous security concerns, use Fastosts!
