It happens to the best of us. Despite what I thought was scrupulous checking - upon checking my 123-Reg invoice I noticed that there was a 'typo' in the domain name I had registered & it was clearly unusable !
What's worse was that this typo was totally my error !!
Without expecting any positive response to my query, but determined to ask anyway, I registered a query with the helpdesk to see whether I might be able to cancel this unusable domain name & receive a credit against the previous purchase to allow me to register a new & corrected domain name at no further cost.
I have to say that not only was my enquiry responded to within minutes (& it was a SUNDAY), but a credit against a future purchase was offered immediately.
To say I was delighted would be an understatement. Excellent service & I would certainly recommend 123-reg.co.uk !!
