The Sweex Nightvision webcam works straight out of the box. Install the drivers via the mini cd (supplied), attach the webcam via the usb cable and you are up and running. This webcam has a set of adjustable led lights around the lense and can be manually set via a small wheel located on the cable. The USB cable itself is not majorally long so ensure that the pc base unit is either close to the siting of the camera or get a USB extension lead to give you and extra meter or so. All said and done, great camera. The prices for this device vary on the web and it is possible to get one for as little as £7. I plumped for the Maplin's one and paid over the odds at £19.99. Total rip off by Maplin's me thinks...

I don't know what you are comparing with, but if you think this piece of... is a good webcam, then you have never ever compared it with a Logitech and know nothing, what so ever, about picture quality.
This is by far, the worst I have seen, even worse than the first low-price-cam I had several years ago. You can probably get a second-hand Logitech for half the money and get 100 times the quality.
