This was a great weather service upto around 6 months ago. It has now become very inaccurate lately. Including showing little rain on a day where we had 35mms in 5 hours. Inaccurate wind speeds and directions. These are not one offs, they are now happening on regular occasions. My advice, use a different forecast.

Doesn’t even get it right on what the wind is doing at this minute, don’t waste your time with it.

Last night XC Weather was showing an overnight temperature of 7 degrees. Travelling to work this morning, severe disruption due to hard frost. XC weather is normally fairly reliable but got last night's temperature wrong by nearly 10 degrees!

this site provides easy to read forecasts. looking forward more than 5days can give UN-reliable results

On consulting XC Weather on-line today I noted there was a column missing i.e. 'gusts'. It is vital that info on gusts and their strength is included in any forecast.

I am a professional sea-goer and navigator and find XC Weather very useful and extremely accurate. On a 700 mile trip earlier this year I compared XC Weather's forecast for the relevant sea areas with the actual weather encountered. Spot on

I am a harbourmaster and serious sailor. 9 times out of 10 the xc is good and the fact it is free is great. As I live on the coast and have studied weather formally, xc is about as good as it gets. The BBC tends to verge on the cautious and local radio broadcasts are verging on criminal.

A consistently accurate and excellent site for all out door events, recreational aviation and water sports.

Love this weather website! I used to use BBC, Met Office and AccuWeather which are always vague, generally incorrect and never adjusted to reflect actual conditions. I stumbled across XC via a local airport website. It give loads of additional info (wind direction & speed, percentage of cloud cover, rainfall in mm, barometric pressure etc) in a very easy to read format and, most importantly, it is MUCH more accurate. Delighted with it and very happy to recommend it to others.

Spookily accurate forcasts. I have used this site over the last year when deciding where and when to go snowboarding, sea kayaking, sailing and hillwalking. It's never let me down yet with many wasted trips and potentially sticky situations avoided. The level of detail in the forcasts way better than the puplic offerings from the met office and bbc websites which have been dumbed down so much they are next to useless.

I am a sea angler and use xc weather all the time. It is always right. for example, today I was scoffed at when I went fishing at Dover. The BBC had forecast torrential rain all day. XC saud it would clear up aroind midday and be sunny until 18.00. That is exactly what happened.
Fishing was rubbish though.
it is easy to use as long as you know where the weather stations are. Being based on airfields its not always apparent to other users like myself, but then I am not the target audience.

First class weather site, better than the Met Office and the BBC (which appears to have downgraded the quality of its site).

XC Weather. Excellent collection of current weather information across Europe and reasonably good forecasts. As a free service it is hard to beat.

Hi. All XCWeather forecasts include gust information by default but it sounds like you may have accidentally clicked the 'Summary View' button. Try clicking the 'Advanced View' button to return to the default with gusts. If this doesn't fix the problem just drop us a line at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.
