A while back I started looking into water softening systems because the hard water where I live here in Fresno was wreaking havoc on my appliances mainly my dishwasher with 3 repairs to date. I started wondering what it was doing to my water heater as well, I had seen the hard water build up in my dishwasher. I remembered my dad had bought a water system a few years back. He had to put salt in the system continuously. So as I was researching water systems and came across LifeSource the no salt was a big selling point.
