I bought my first Lifesource system over 12 years ago in San Diego and when I moved in 2006 the new owners wanted it as part of the deal. So I had to get another one or I would have moved it. Lifesource installed the new system in the garage when the movers were unloading the van. I just did not want to be without this quality of water.
I understood from the outset that this was a high end filtration system with some added benefits and not a traditional softener. I was not told nor did I expect spot free water! There is still cleaning involved - but I have only cleaned my 200 nozzle shower head in the master bath once in 5 years try that with standard city water in my area and the glass shower doors are immaculate because I give them a quick towel down after I shower.
Ownership is easy with no maintenance - I had a pre-filter on the old one which gave some problems but not on the newer improved one - which is also certified to last for an incredible length of time.
I wish all the appliances that came with my new home were as simple, effective and reliable as the Lifesource water system.

I just bought a used system from someone moving and could not have it at his new home, but I have no owners manual. Can you tell me how to set the timer? I have called Lifesource and no one ever calls back. I really appreciate any info you can give me as I am clueless.

Hi there if it is the standard model just lift the clock cover, depress the red button on the left front of the timer head and rotate the large toothed wheel it disengages from until the correct time of day as it is when you adjust it appears in the little window at the bottom - release the red button and make sure it pops all the way back out, thats it. I took a look at mine and was not sure but there is a video at their website - Lifesourcewater.com - click on customer care in the top right corner and click on service videos - the first one is backwash timer reset, good luck with your system. By the way my system is 24v and has a transformer make sure you get that if the little clock says 24 I think they made 110v ones as well.
