Winziggle's review of LifeSource Water Filtration Unit

“Not worth the $$”

★★☆☆☆

written by Winziggle on 16/11/2011

I bought a whole house water filter 7 years ago. It's supposed to be good for at least 10 years. It started smelling like chlorine over a year or so ago but I assumed I was mistaken. The water out of my tap was tested a couple of days ago and it's got lots of chlorine in it. I asked to have it checked and it's going to cost me $120. Some guarantee.

I loved the service guy that sold it to me. I loved the cleanliness of my water until it stopped working.

All it does really is remove chlorine.

I would have liked to know that I'd have to pay $120. to have someone check it. Not only that, but have to pay hourly to have what's wrong with it repaired.

I had exactly the opposite experience .... my Rep who sold the system came out and looked at it for free and tested the water. Once they realized there was chlorine in the water...they went to check the system and found it had been out into bypass. I had had some new irrigation valves put in a few weeks earlier so we think someone mistakenly turned the wrong valve. No charge for the visit....no other service necessary. Did you ask your Rep to come and test the water to see if it is still in service or not?
