Paid 1200 for what I thought was a good watch 2.5 years ago, it never really worked properly after a year, should have taken it back then, but husband just put up with it, time went on. Finally took it back just out of warranty, and they have the audacity to want to charge £300 for a service. Service what, the stupid thing never worked properly.. I am writing this as a warning to those of you who might be tempted to buy one, you are paying for the name only, they certainly do not sell quality watches. You are being ripped off. I worked several hours overtime to buy this as a special present. What a rip off. Previously my husband had a kinetic seiko, lasted for over 10 years, did not need a service. Should have stuck with one of those again and saved myself £800.

Bought watch as a birthday present. Within 2 months crown wheel disappeared.
Repaired by Tag, took ages to return
Crown wheel came adrift once more repaired again. Two failures, too many.
Would not encourage anyone to buy this watch.
An expensive mistake. Looks are not everything, 0/5.

Hii to all,
I have bought the the Tag Heuer F1 Digital Chronotimer. Its really a nice watch. I just need to know from anyone that already had this watch.
Why the digital mode disappear after two days..?
Does this watch have a battery saving mode..?
I've read the manual book, there was no battery saving mode stated in it.
Can anyone please share this info to me. Thank you very much.

My Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chronotimer white face dial and stainless steel combo is striking to look at. I wear it every day and even while playing Golf. I love it.

This F1Chronotimer is my second Tag watch. Both bought brand new. Both needed subsequent repair within a couple of years. Each repair cost around $150. After the repairs they worked fine. However, I would not buy another Tag as I do not consider them a reliable watch. Even my old Bulova and Swiss Army watches are more reliable.

This watch is a pain. I only paid 600$ but still it is very hard to set with way too much mumbojumbo to it. Spend a few more dollars and buy something better. Feels cheap, I have had it for two years.

A Tag Heuer was my first diving watch and it has lasted 15 years without any problems and only 2 battery replacements. I still wear it. It doesn't even have a scratch on the original sapphire crystal. I have worn it all over the world in oceans, lakes, rivers, motorcycling, camping, at weddings, parties, etc. I bought another Tag, the Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chronotimer, because of the dependability of the first one and because I couldn't justify the price of my other choice, even though I could easily afford it (Rolex gold and stainless blue submariner). Both watches keep excellent time. The only downside to these Tag watches I have is that they never break or self destruct so if anything, I end up getting bored with them and go out and buy something else every few years. Nice problem to have I suppose.

I also have had a Tag Heuer S/el watch since 1987, it has been worn for work (Theatre Lighting Stagehand) every day since I bought it with absolutely no scratches on the sapphire crystal face. I used to buy a fresh watch every so often and I had always promised myself a quality watch and originally wanted a Rolex, but as the equivalent to the Tag was twice the price I settled for the Tag and have never been disappointed.
