This machine was bought to replace a Zanussi that 'died' after 12 years service. I am very pleased with it overall, just one niggle and that is that there is no countdown clock to tell me how much longer the washing will take but that doesn't stop it being a good machine. The machine even has a 15 minute wash and plenty of selection buttons to cover everything you need. All in all a very good buy. A bonus was that it came with a £60 cash back offer. I would recommend this machine.

My old Servis compact (42cm deep) gave up the ghost after 20 yrs faithful service, So we were on the look out for a slim depth washing machine. The Bosch wlx24164gb at 44cm deep was perfect for us two. After the simplicity of the old washer the wife was a bit agitated at having to deal with new technology. But not to worry, this machine is simplicity at it`s best. The usual Rotary selection knob for temperature and materials. 4 buttons for 4 different wash selections. 1 button selection for 4 spin speeds. Simple. 5kg wash and Four adjustable rubber feet. The first wash the wife was a bit unsure what to do, by the second day she was stripping all the beds just so she could use her new toy. The easy iron wash option reduces the wash time to about 35mins, but the max spin speed is only 800 on this wash, so after spinning turn knob to spin and select 1200 the wash comes out almost dry. When spinning it is a little noisy, but this is the drain pump getting the last drop of water from the machine. when spinning It does not try to walk across the floor. Not had to use service and support, but it does have a 2yr guarentee. No negatives. We like everything about this washing machine.
