If you want a boot for anything more strenuous than walking around the garden or along nice country lanes then don't buy this boot. I purchased a pair and used them in the Lake District for one week at the beginning of June. Despite proofing the boots regularly in accordance with the advice given by the sales assistant,and having walked no more than 25 miles in them, the boots look as though I've had them for years. I have had two pairs of Scarpa boots previously, albeit made of heavier leather than the Terra GTX, without any problems.I'm very disappointed with these boots.
